Hi! My name is Wendy McNeal and I am so glad that you have found my website! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the owner of Oasis Counseling & Consulting, DBA (Synergy Counseling & Consulting, LLC). I offer in-person sessions, as well as Telehealth services to Texas residents- 18 years of age and older (individuals). I have been in private practice since 2013. I received my Master's degree in Social Work in 2008, from Texas A&M University-Commerce. Prior to starting my counseling practice, I worked in community mental health and medical social work for more than a decade. My previous work experience has given me opportunities to build an extensive knowledge base in helping clients meet their goals. I offer a "safe space" that is warm, compassionate and non-judgmental. I provide a trauma focused therapy-Accelerated Resolution Therapy-Basic ART Trained. I also specialize in helping clients with depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, anger issues, ADHD, low self-esteem, grief/loss, pre-marital and marriage counseling. I accept some insurances (see list below). I also accept HSA cards and offer a sliding scale fee to private pay clients. I believe that counseling is a comprehensive process that involves self-determination and guidance in navigating through problems and inner conflict. I counsel clients from a Christian world view. However, if a client does not wish to receive Christian counsel, I will respect their choice and traditional therapy will be provided. If I am unable to provide counseling to a client due to their presenting problem being out of the scope of my training and expertise, then I will assist in helping the client find a counselor that best fits their needs. I also provide coaching services to help clients develop the specific skills needed to reach their goals.
